The textiles of Lao play an important part of the Lao Culture in clothing,these textiles are widely used in many forms of clothing.Some are used for important religious ceremonies.Others;tablecloths, turbans, scarves and decor.
All women in Laos have worn the Lao skirt as part of their traditional culture. The characteristic of the Lao skirt is a top half of woven silk or cotton with a wide decorative border at the lower half of the skirt.
Baskets
Traditional hand weave baskets are usually used to store rice and harvest.Small open baskets are used as rice plates or for holding weaving and sewing supplies.
